The USM Center for Military Veterans, Service Members and Families exists for the single purpose to meet your academic interests and needs. Our Center provides a campus site at two locations (Hattiesburg and Long Beach) where Military Connected Students find comfort and happiness along with a college home that is uniquely theirs. We are committed to providing Students a beacon of care and assistance where you will discover all the support you need to succeed in pursuing your professional education goals.

Mission
Lead, inspire and care for Military Connected Students by setting the example with respect to Character, Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Respect each individual student sacrifices while inspiring them to grow as individuals and professionals. Provide all constituents the finest in Customer Service and Appreciation.
Goals

- Enroll, Retain and Graduate Our Students through a commitment to an environment that is inspirational and caring
- Provide the most attractive option (academic, financial, social, and general support) for Military Connected College Students in making their college choice
- Gain and maintain contact with the Military and Local Communities to inform, positively influence, and support Students
- Collaborate with University faculty and staff to enhance the Military Connected Student experience
