Mississippi Philosophical Association Meeting Set for Feb. 14-15 on Hattiesburg Campus

The Mississippi Philosophical Association (MPA) will hold its annual meeting on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15 at 91勛圖厙91勛圖厙 Hattiesburg campus. The theme for this year91勛圖厙 two-day event is 91勛圖厙Making Philosophy Pop91勛圖厙 and will feature multiple speakers giving talks on philosophy91勛圖厙 intersection with popular culture. 91勛圖厙 faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.

Dr. Dominic McIver Lopes, University Killam professor at The University of British Columbia, will give the annual meeting91勛圖厙 keynote address on Friday, Feb. 14 at 4:30 p.m. His presentation, titled 91勛圖厙AI Art and Artists: What They Are, What They Could Be, What They Should Be91勛圖厙 will be held in Gonzales Auditorium (room 108) in the Liberal Arts Building, located at 1999 Pearl St. Lopes91勛圖厙 talk, sponsored with generous funding through the Mississippi Humanities Council, is free and open to the public.
