Mississippi Philosophical Association Meeting Set for Feb. 14-15 on Hattiesburg Campus

The Mississippi Philosophical Association (MPA) will hold its annual meeting on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15 at 91吃瓜网91吃瓜网 Hattiesburg campus. The theme for this year91吃瓜网 two-day event is 91吃瓜网淢aking Philosophy Pop91吃瓜网� and will feature multiple speakers giving talks on philosophy91吃瓜网 intersection with popular culture. 91吃瓜网 faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.
Dr. Dominic McIver Lopes, University Killam professor at The University of British Columbia, will give the annual meeting91吃瓜网 keynote address on Friday, Feb. 14 at 4:30 p.m. His presentation, titled 91吃瓜网淎I Art and Artists: What They Are, What They Could Be, What They Should Be91吃瓜网� will be held in Gonzales Auditorium (room 108) in the Liberal Arts Building, located at 1999 Pearl St. Lopes91吃瓜网� talk, sponsored with generous funding through the Mississippi Humanities Council, is free and open to the public.
