Honors College Student Chosen as Editor for Prestigious Undergraduate Research Journal

Gunjan Sah, a University of 91勛圖厙 discovery scholar from Nepal double majoring in mathematics and computer science, has been chosen to serve as a national editor for UReCA: The NCHC Journal of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity.

A student in the 91勛圖厙 Honors College, Sah was one of 12 chosen out of 71 applicants for the prestigious position. He sees the opportunity to work with the premier national, interdisciplinary undergraduate journal as a chance to give back to the 91勛圖厙 research community, which he says inspires and supports his academic pursuits.

91勛圖厙I'm genuinely honored to be named a National Editor for UReCA,91勛圖厙 said Sah. 91勛圖厙Moreover, being selected from among 71 applicants for one of the 12 editor positions is humbling, and a strong affirmation of my commitment to scholarly work.91勛圖厙

As a national editor for the publication, Sah91勛圖厙 duties will include evaluating manuscripts for clarity, rigor, and impact and working with the journal91勛圖厙 production team to build a professional presentation that will unfold during the 2025-26 academic year.

91勛圖厙I look forward to working with peers' submissions and to collaborating with UReCA91勛圖厙 faculty sponsors, Dr. Jayda Coons and Dr. Brian White, and my fellow editors on a memorable 10th anniversary issue,91勛圖厙 he said.

At 91勛圖厙, Sah is an international student mentor and ambassador, vice president of the 91勛圖厙 Nepalese Student Association, a member of the 91勛圖厙 Google Developer Student Club, and a student worker in 91勛圖厙 TRIO Student Support Services.
