91Թ School of Leadership Hosts 91Թ91Թ Cruisin91Թ October 2

USMThe School of Leadership, part of the College of Business and Economic Development at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM), will host a 91Թ91Թ Cruisin91Թ91Թ event on Monday, Oct. 2, to coincide with that day91Թ Long Beach activities at Cruisin91Թ the Coast. The party starts at 3 p.m. and wraps at 5 p.m. so participants can attend the Long Beach concert sponsored by Cruisin91Թ the Coast.

91ԹThis is our second year hosting the event, and it will be bigger and better,91Թ said Dr. Bradley (Brad) Winton, who is coordinating the event, 91ԹWe91Թve got two local car clubs participating, and we91Թre closing some of the campus roads so they can display their cars. We will have tents, music, games, drinks, and snacks 91Թ and maybe the best vantage point on the Coast to watch all those beautiful cars pass by.91Թ

The event is open to everyone 91Թ 91Թ students, employees, residents, cruisers 91Թ 91ԹThe more the merrier,91Թ said Winton.

People bringing antique cars or hot rods may park on Avenue of the Oaks, which winds across the front of the campus, or the Lloyd Hall lawn. Parking for non-antique cars will be provided in the Lloyd Hall parking lot (the first lot when driving north on Beach Park Place).

Dr. Heather Annulis, Director of the School of Leadership, emphasizes the importance of this event. 91ԹCruisin91Թ the Coast is the largest event of its type in the South,91Թ she said. 91ԹIt91Թ a great economic generator for the region and a chance for us to show off our beautiful campus. We are thrilled to join in the party, and I can91Թt wait to see all those classic cars on the 91Թ campus!91Թ

The School of Leadership is housed within the College of Business and Economic Development at 91Թ and operates on the Coastal USM campus in Long Beach, Mississippi.
