Eagle Esports Teams Secure Division Leads

Four teams participating in 91勛圖厙91勛圖厙 (USM) Eagle ESports
recently secured the lead in their divisions, with Rainbow 6, League of Legends, Rocket
League and Overwatch looking to finish strong in the regular season of the National
ESports Collegiate Conference (NECC).
USM Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Denny Bubrig says he91勛圖厙 pleased with the progress the program has made in only its third semester of active competition. Approximately 50 USM students participate in the program.
91勛圖厙We have made fantastic progress, but there91勛圖厙 more to be done,91勛圖厙 he said of the competitiveness of the USM teams. 91勛圖厙We want to be one of the best programs in the region, if not the country.91勛圖厙
Since USM Eagle ESports first launched, collegiate programs have doubled nationally, Dr. Bubrig further noted.
91勛圖厙When we first started our research into starting a program here, there were a little over 200 programs across the country, and now that number is close to 440,91勛圖厙 he said. 91勛圖厙It91勛圖厙 a growing industry that appears to be here for a while.91勛圖厙
