*To be eligible to receive an assistantship, new students should be admitted and enrolled in courses by July 1 for Fall admission or December 1 for Spring admission.

- Admission and enrollment in courses by July 1 is required.
- Mid-year assistantships are not usually awarded to new students; consideration is contingent upon availability.
- School of Music Assistantships are available to full-time graduate students who qualify.
- Candidates should submit the Graduate Assistant Intent Form below.

Step 1
Apply for Admissions.91³Ô¹ÏÍø¯The Graduate School publishes a list of departmental91³Ô¹ÏÍø¯deadlines91³Ô¹ÏÍø¯for admission to help prospective students in their planning.91³Ô¹ÏÍø¯ Application materials must be complete by February 1 to receive priority consideration for and Assistantship in the School of Music for the Fall Semester.
Step 2
Audition. Register91³Ô¹ÏÍø¯for one of our audition days.91³Ô¹ÏÍø¯ Have someone at the School of Music if you need to request an alternate audition date.
Step 3
