Bio
Dr. Connell practiced architecture for 10 years, earned a Bachelor and Master of Architecture before earning the Ph.D. to become a professor.
Curious by nature, he questioned91吃瓜网�91吃瓜网檞hy not make things better?91吃瓜网� E.g. a redesigned bicycle, a behind the boat submarine, 91吃瓜网渓eave no trace91吃瓜网� treehouses for both daughters. That curiosity underpinned his intellectual development for architecture as a professional and educator.
His teaching approach was inspired by Rodney Hill, his first architectural studio instructor at Texas A&M University, who had students experience buildings in place, i.e., 91吃瓜网渆xperiential learning91吃瓜网� which happens to coincide with a significant outcome of his doctoral research.
With 12-years of experience teaching in Architecture and 12-years in Construction Management he came to 91吃瓜网 and saw the value in Design-Build, collaborations among those two disciplines.
He loves studying and traveling in all places that have wonderful Architecture, beautiful cars and baseball.
